A colouring of the SiliXan U binder is possible with standard colour pigments or dispersions. The silane heads of the urethane backbone stabilize in particular inorganic colour pigments very well and hence in SiliXan U based formulations to a large extent the requirement of interfering dispersing additives is reduced. Out of SiliXan U binders and corresponding inert inorganic pigments colour formulations can be developed, which are chalking and discoloration stable over thousands of hours in the Xeno weathering test.

Formulation of high-quality UV-stable clear coats or pigmented coatings. The product shows good adhesion to metals such as aluminium or stainless steel. The silane content (SiOx) is lower than in SiliXan U 310-50/PM, which means that the coating is less brittle and more flexible, e.g. for application on wood.

OH groups containing silane polymer (EQV-OH= 350) as a co-binder for 2K PU or 2K polyurea coatings to increase scratch and abrasion resistance. Application in clear coats on plastics (PC, PC-ABS, PMMA). Furthermore, the adhesion to glass and metals such as aluminium, steel or stainless steel is improved, too.
